Chandos House is a beautiful Grade I listed Georgian townhouse, which operates as a venue in central London, near Oxford Circus. The last time I was here was to shoot the Xmas set-up across the house, so it was lovely to come back in summer and capture the newly renovated rooms and layouts, with the sunlight dancing throughout.
The main purpose of this shoot was to photograph a variety of different set-ups in each of the function rooms, to replace the images before the renovation, in same case, and to show a few new layouts with others. This image shows the newly renovated reception area:
And the waiting area, with its impressive stairwell;
Then it was on to the Robert Adams room, with it’s wonderful columns, captured from the back.
And from the other side to demonstrate the size and lay-out. You can see the doors connecting to the James Adam behind.
And if you were to walk through that door, you’d see this, which is set-up for reception drinks in this photo:
And you can see the Robert Adams in a completely different layout, as set up for a small wedding party:
Or, also set up for a drinks reception:
One of the most traditional and impressive rooms is the Duke Room, which looks particularly stunning with its freshly painted white walls, which has really opened up the whole room and looks great with the elegant wedding set-up.
And see how different it looks operating as a functional room for a seminar, with this great ‘banana’ layout:
Take a walk through the interconnecting doors to the smaller Duchess room,
which can host the drinks reception before guests go into the formal dining area
Or simply hired on it’s own, for example as a meeting room;
And a shoot at Chandos House wouldn’t be complete without capturing the wonderful Terrace room below, which had a very glamorous set-up, with it’s grand centre table. It was important for my clients that I capture the room in the usual way, straight on…..
……but also from above, to show the full table layout:
I zoomed in for some more detailed shots as well, which are great for venues to use on their social media and marketing messages.
