Great to be back at The Wellesley London, who are offering a brand new Churchill Afternoon Tea to their customers, featuring some delightful cakes and sweet treats. The tea can be taken in the Cigar Lounge, a beautifully elegant room attached to their stunning cigar humidor and with a fanastic portrait of Churchill on the wall.

The hotel also wanted a photo of the tea in the jazz lounge, which is a bigger brighter space, with a different atmosphere. So guests can chose when they prefer to dine.

The tea includes the best salted caramel macaroon I ever tasted and a delicious chocolate and vanilla cake modelled on the traditional Battenburg, scrumptious and no marzipan in site! Pastry chef Cristiano Paolini created these great chocolate cigars, which are a super fun addition to the tea.

Then it was over to the Oval Restaurant, to shoot some new additions for their Italian truffle menu, which consisted of a beef tartare confit, with yolk and hazelnut truffle shaving and a slow-cooked egg-white on asparagus barley salad .
