Being in the hospitality world and with lots of experience photographing events and parties, I often get asked by my clients to shoot various events for them and their clients. This one was slightly different to the last few parties I had shot as it had a live cooking demonstration to show off Strada’s new menu.
I’d eaten at this London Bridge location once before but had only ever sat downstairs, so I was delighted to find an absolutely stunning view on the second floor. The PR event to launch their new menu was buzzing with lots of people, happy to be handed lots of delicious treats and endless glasses of fizz. Who could complain about this way to spend an evening? Even I got to sample some of the food as I took a little break between pictures.
When photographing an event like this, the key is to capture the fun and spirit of the evening but also pay attention to the food and the restaurant itself, after all Strada wouldn’t be hosting this unless they were keen to show it off.
With the amazing backdrop of The Thames and Tower Bridge and large windows to show it all off, it was a great opportunity to also show off these surroundings.
You can visit the restaurant yourself, please see their website for details of where to find them: http://www.strada.co.uk/italian-restaurant/riverside-more-london.
