I was asked by Ch&Co Group, a commercial catering company, to shoot a food showcase event, which they were organising to pitch to some potential clients. As the chefs were going to all the effort of cooking up a great display of food and the staff were pulling all the stops out to make up samples and informative displays, they realised it would be a great opportunity to get some professional photos at the same time for future tender processes.

The shoot was a mixture of natural action shots as Chef demonstrated the rather clever food station, cooking up some fantastic ramen noodle soup, as well as stills of the various food ready for parties and special events. Check out the egg-cellent dessert at the end, (couldn’t resist) cleverly disguised, which were a visual delight as well as a tasty treat.

Ch&Co will be using the pictures primary to follow up on their show-case with their potential new client but also for future tendering documents and general marketing and promotional use. The photos were taken in-situ – rather than ‘studio style’, where each dish is plated carefully, cooked fresh, styled and lit well, which works really well for the clients’ needs in this case. A great afternoon shooting and the brilliant bonus of a lovely food parcel to take home.
