Today’s shoot was what I call a ‘mixed bag’ hotel photography shoot. Basically a hotel, usually the marketing team, have a set of images they need to get professionally shot for a number of different purposes. In this case, there is a mixture of guest gifts, menu items, a new cocktail, the iconic ‘sweet station’ in the tea room and some headshots. 

Usually I ask for a shot list, so I can compile the right equipment and provide the right quote, them the whole shoot is roughly timetabled, so everything can be shot in a timely manner and with the right staff available to create the cocktail, cook the menu item, pour the champagne, or, in the case of the headshots, be ready to smile!
