I absolutely love being out and about in London on a sunny day; add music to the mix, a great buzz with lots of people enjoying themselves and some delicious food – happy days. But I wasn’t just hanging out, I was actually at this lovely event, hosted by Canary Wharf Group, to take photos.

The event was their Mid-Summer Festival, which was held over two days, one of which was the Summer Solstice of course. They wanted some event photography taken so that they can have a selection of images to use across their website and brochures for futures events.

I always love doing event photography assignments like this as I feel like I am on a day out myself, interacting with happy people, capturing children, who always play up to the camera and bring joy and sometimes I get super lucky and get to try some food too! Thanks to Rolling Dough Pizza for their delicious margarita, which they gave me after I took their photos.

If you want to head along to a similar event, there’s a whole host of amazing things scheduled this summer, from movie nights, to live bands, workshops and scheduled tours and most of it is free! Check out more information on The Canary Wharf Arts and Events section of their website here:  www.canarywharf.com/arts-events/ and if you see with me with my camera, do say hello.
