It was with great pleasure that I was asked by an old client of mine to shoot her wedding. Katy used to work with me at Lambeth Council, for whom I did a wide variety of shoots. So when she got in touch to say her and her partner Dominic were tying the knot at Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton and wanted me to shoot their wedding, I was delighted.
Katy and Dominic only wanted the ceremony photographed, with some family and twosome shots around Brixton afterwards. Once we completed the formal and romantic photos, we then grabbed a shot under the personalised readograph at The Ritzy cinema, where the couple were going to have an informal bash with friends that evening and a few fun shots in Brixton market, and the local streets, before I left them and their family to enjoy lunch at Wahaca.
This is what Katy said afterwards: “Thanks Susie, the photos are amazing. Thanks for being such a great part of our day.”
