Some fun facts about me and my work

  1. I shot The late Queen for The London Fire Brigade (who I did over 30 photoshoots for) – https://susannahfields.co.uk/project/hrh-the-queen-prince-philip-official-opening-of-the-new-london-fire-brigade-hq/
  2. I’ve been inside Buckingham Palace on shoots – 3 times – one was to do an exclusive piece on the hospitality staff who work there – it was so much fun. Apparently, The late Queen loved the photos – https://susannahfields.co.uk/project/behind-the-scenes-at-buckingham-palace/
  3. I’ve shot David Beckham twice – once for Unicef UK in Milan – he kissed my cheek and I joked that I was never going to wash my face again – and again, two years ago, for a new charity – https://susannahfields.co.uk/project/david-beckham-bbc-shoe-appeal-for-unicef-uk/
  4. I’ve been inside many of London’s finest hotels and restaurants whilst shooting for a hospitality magazine – which I did for 4 years – including The Ritz, which has the most unglamourous staff kitchen!! Here’s a selection of my work for the magazine here: https://susannahfields.co.uk/project/ep-magazine-editorial-portrait-photography/
  5. In Dec 2022, Bonhams Auction House paid me to license the use of the photo I took of Sir Terrance Conran at the private auction of his collection. His wife said she thought it was one of the best photos ever taken of him: https://www.instagram.com/p/CmEgB_kOYbR/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== – I got to attend the auction, which was great as I always loved his designs.
  6. I went on tour with the World War II Museum New Orleans, to France, last year, and captured the whole tour. We were accompanied by two stars of the series Band of Brothers, which was very popular back in the day, and the guests loved having them around.  Throughout the week I went to a wide variety of significant WW2 places, including Omaha Beach, where the D-Day Landings took place, and learned so much history from the guides. It was an incredible job. https://susannahfieldsphotographyltd.pixieset.com/worldwariimuseumneworleans-easycompany-englandtotheeaglesnesttour/
  7. I’ve shot for many major charities across the UK and continue to get booking for charities, which I love to work for. Here’s my charity showreel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjRHWVHuxqk&t=37s

  8. Aside from attending many London venues in my role as an event photographer, I have also shot many venues for their marketing material, including The Red Carnation Hotel Group, Dukes London, Jumeriah Carlton Tower, The Wellesley London and Goldsmiths Hall. Here is my Hospitality showreel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW0FVWpovyw
  9. In 2018 and 2019 I was commission by Haven Holidays to shoot across the UK at their holiday sites. I ended up staying over 32 (separate) nights in static caravans, whilst completing my shoot. They are surprising comfortable! Here’s a sample of my work for them: https://susannahfieldsphotographyltd.pixieset.com/havenholidayscommercialcollection/
  10. I was a Time Out London Tastemaker for two years – we basically attended all kinds of London events, restaurants, theatres etc (for free) and we simply had to write reviews on them. To stay as a Tastemaker, we had to submit reviews a couple of times a week of general places in London – a couple of lines would do. I wrote over 250 reviews – films, cafes, museums, park and even shopping centres – to fill my quota! It was great fun and we were sad when it came to an end, but I have lovely memories of all the places we got to go do in London. Sadly, Time Out London got taken over and pulled all our reviews off the website, overnight, so I have no copies of my work.
  11. And, finally – I have photographed over 200 weddings and Bar Mitzvahs and probably double the number of parties and events! Here are some showreels here:

I did keep a regular blog – until Lockdown, which is here: https://susannahfields.co.uk/2020/03/30/lock-down-london-360-virtual-tour/ – scroll down the right hand side to view any category.

And I am soon to launch a Hospitality focussed blog too, which will be made pubic at the end of September.
